Job Details
The Department of Biological Sciences at Butler University invites applications for a Lecturer in Biology with an anticipated start date of August 2026. We are searching for an individual to teach non-majors and majors-level courses in genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology. Opportunities to teach upper-level electives in area of expertise as needed. Typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per year. Applicants should have a Master’s degree but preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. (or ABD) and a strong commitment to undergraduate education and to building an inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population. Butler cannot provide visa sponsorship for this position.

- A statement of teaching interests and philosophy that also describes previous experience with and commitment to inclusive and evidence-based pedagogies;
