Lecturer in Civil/Structural Engineering

The Opportunity

Join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role. This fixed-term position has been created to support the School while academics focus on an AEA program.

In this position, you will undertake high-quality teaching and research in Civil and Structural Engineering, with a particular focus on computational stochastic and uncertainty mechanics, structural engineering, and machine learning. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, support collaborative research initiatives, and undertake key research activities associated with funded AEA and ARC projects, while helping to strengthen the School’s growing research profile and educational excellence.

This is an opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading schools of Civil and Environmental Engineering, driving innovation in structural engineering, resilient infrastructure, and advanced computational modelling.

This role reports to Prof Wei Gao and has no direct reports.
