We welcome applications from talented and enthusiastic individuals who can strengthen our existing research profile and who are committed to delivering excellent teaching and student support. The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, a strong research track record in Cybersecurity, the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the School, and teaching experience in Cybersecurity and other areas of Computer Science.

Main responsibilities will be to:

  • Teach and inspire students across various settings, from small tutorials to large lectures
  • Develop and deliver engaging teaching materials and methods, and convene modules
  • Supervise student projects and provide academic guidance
  • Engage in research activities and contribute to the school's research objectives
  • Participate in outreach and engagement activities to enhance public understanding of your discipline and/or contribute to School administration and management.

As Lecturer you will:

  • Be an experienced researcher and hold a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related discipline
  • Have experience in teaching and leading modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Have thorough knowledge of different types of teaching methods and strategies appropriate to Computer Science
  • Have effective communication and presentation skills
  • Show a commitment to diversity and the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
