Lecturer in Education (PGCE Primary)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the successful School of Education and Lifelong Learning at UEA (https://www.uea.ac.uk/about/school-of-education-and-lifelong-learning). The School is embarking on an exciting period of growth and development and is committed to Initial Teacher Education.

We seek a Primary level specialist with relevant expertise in Geography, History and RE to join the successful Primary PGCE team. You will contribute to curriculum focused and professional development components of the programme and support of student teachers through their school placements. The role also involves the training and support of in-school mentors, student advising and contributing, as appropriate, to course level management and development. You may also contribute to teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate levels within the School of Education and Lifelong Learning.

You must have an honours degree in a relevant field along with a master’s level or postgraduate qualification, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) and be able to satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the relevant person specification.

This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis from 1 January 2026.
