Subjects offered include, Humanities, Journalism, Film & TV, Art & Design, Performing Arts, Photography, and Architecture, Construction & Environment.

About the opportunity

The school has an opportunity to appoint a 0.6 FTE, Lecturer in Production Design. The appointee will be a member of the multi award-winning Film & TV (FTV) production course team. The team is comprised of specialist lecturers, industrial practitioners and REF rated researchers.

The successful applicants will be expected to support students specifically within the practice of Production Design for Film and Television and they should have a solid working knowledge of all production practices which are applicable to their field, including appropriate design software, and of both the industrial and theoretical context within their areas of expertise. It is important that the appointee is hands on and can undertake practical design. Industry experience is highly valued by both the course team and the school and will, of course feed into our current cohort’s knowledge base, therefore the appointee will have extensive/current experience of working as a Production Designer, Art Director or in an equivalent role within the Film & TV industry. The appointee will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the core production design module and in contributing to production design throughout all three years of the course.
