Your next career opportunity
As a Lecturer in Small Animal Clinical Studies at the University of Melbourne, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of veterinary education and clinical practice. You will have the opportunity to deliver innovative teaching across the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programme, while collaborating closely with esteemed partners like Greencross Veterinary Hospital.

You will also hold (or be making significant progress towards) an intermediate level post-graduate clinical qualification in diagnostic imaging such as Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists or the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Excellence in Veterinary Education: Teach and train across all years of the DVM programme, ensuring high-quality student experiences and clinical competencies.
  • Provide Outstanding Clinical Service: Collaborate with Greencross Veterinary Hospital to deliver seamless veterinary care and mentor students in clinical rotations.
  • Lead and Innovate: Develop curriculum, contribute to interdisciplinary teaching, and enhance student learning through innovative educational practices.
  • Foster Collaboration and Leadership: Build partnerships with industry and stakeholders, engage in professional activities, and promote a diverse and inclusive environment.

You may be a great fit if:
You will have a veterinary degree registrable in Victoria, with experience in diagnostic imaging and a passion for innovative teaching and clinical service.

You also have:

  • Are a passionate educator with experience in teaching innovative programmes in diverse settings.
  • Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor and supervise clinical staff and students effectively.
  • Are committed to delivering high-quality veterinary services and teaching outcomes.
