Lecturer in Social Work
Based at the Whyalla Campus within the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences
- Fixed term contract until 31st December 2028
- Salary Range: $81,293 to $109,307 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
- Contribute to socially impactful education in regional communities

The team
Through strong partnerships with the sector, community, and government, the School of Social Work and Social Care creates meaningful social impact through teaching, research, and community engagement. Reporting to the Dean of Social Work and Social Care, you will join a close-knit and collaborative team at the Whyalla campus committed to delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student success, and contributing to positive outcomes across regional South Australia.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
Essential
- Qualification in Social Work, and at least five years full time professional/sector experience post-graduation.
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of teaching related administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality teaching materials and resources to actively engage and educate a student group.
- High level written and oral communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated competence in using the digital technology required for effective curriculum delivery and administration associated with teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and scholarship through continual development and improving performance.
Desirable
- Post graduate qualification in a relevant field
