The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, based on Article 14, Paragraph 6, Item 15 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, hereby announces a
PUBLIC CALL
For the selection and employment of:
One employee for the teaching position of Lecturer in the scientific area of Social Sciences, scientific field Kinesiology, for an indefinite period (permanent contract), full-time position, in the Section for Physical Education of the Department of General Programs, with a mandatory probationary period of 6 months
Mandatory requirements:
- All applicants must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labour Act ("Official Gazette" Nos. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, and 64/23) and comply with the provisions of the Higher Education and Science Act ("Official Gazette" No. 119/2022), the Statute of the University of Zagreb and the Statute of the Faculty of Food Technology.
- Applicants must also fulfill the conditions established by the National University, Scientific, and Artistic Criteria ("Official Gazette" No. 42/2026; hereinafter: National Criteria), which are available at the following link: https://narodne-novine.nn.hr/clanci/sluzbeni/2026_04_42_506.html
Preferred criteria:
- Experience in creating, programming, organizing, managing, and conducting various group programs, such as aerobics, pilates, and other related forms of exercise;
- Experience in performing administrative and organizational tasks associated with teaching and professional activities.
Documents required with the application:
- Curriculum vitae;
- Cover letter (indicating the position applied for);
- Certificate from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) on the data recorded in the HZMO database, i.e., electronic records; not older than 30 days from the date of publication of this call;
- Proof of appropriate educational qualifications to demonstrate that the candidate meets the requirements for the position (copy of master's degree)
- Proof of the stated preferred and mandatory criteria and experiences;
In accordance with Article 98, paragraph 4 of the National Criteria, in the selection procedure for a vacant teaching position of lecturer, the candidate may, in their application to the public competition, request that the provisions of Annex IV of the National Criteria be applied to their selection instead of Part Four, Chapter II.
- Decision recognizing foreign educational qualifications for candidates who obtained their degree abroad;
- Proof of citizenship;
- Proof of knowledge of the Croatian language at C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – for foreign nationals.
Applicants (m/f) who are shortlisted may be invited for an interview and/or testing.
Applicants entitled to preferential employment rights according to:
- Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" Nos. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23);
- Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" Nos., 84/21)
