Lecturer in Veterinary Anatomy
The University of Glasgow’s School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Veterinary Anatomy. You will make a substantial and positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School/College by developing a research profile of international standard associated with the research themes of the School of Biodiversity One Health and Veterinary Medicine and by contributing to the delivery of an excellent student experience by delivering, organising and reviewing teaching and assessment processes associated with undergraduate teaching of veterinary anatomy. You will also actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.
Applications are invited from candidates demonstrating potential to become internationally recognised leaders with the research themes of the School of Biodiversity One Health and Veterinary Medicine. We are looking for a candidate who will complement our existing strengths in clinical veterinary medicine, evolutionary biology, animal physiology, and Veterinary Education and Scholarship with a demonstrable interest in using domestic mammals among their study systems. We are particularly interested in applications from candidates with an interest in veterinary anatomy.
The School has an international reputation in teaching, clinical services and research and is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the European Association of Establishments of Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). You will carry out associated tasks as requested by the Head of Division and Head of School to maintain and further the School/College objectives and reputation.
