Employment type: Fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hours per week)

Duration: 5 years

Remuneration: Level B from $127,947 plus 17% super

Location: UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus

Accountabilities: The Lecturer in Indo-Pacific Studies will be committed to high quality teaching and make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of courses taught within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and in particular in the Indo-Pacific Studies specialisation within our Bachelor of Arts degree program. The Lecturer will demonstrate interest and knowledge in current discipline specific issues and developments, and student and industry engagement.

Who You Are (skills and experience): Our ideal candidate will have: a PhD in a discipline related to Indo-Pacific Studies; a track record of high-quality scholarly research and publications and experience in seeking research funding, relative to opportunity; the ability to deliver high quality teaching and research; a willingness to undertake effective administration relevant to the program, school and faculty; the ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with students, colleagues and staff at all levels.
