Lecturer Medical Laboratory Science
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the Lecturer of Medical Laboratory Sciences will be expected to teach the equivalent of 15 semester hours per semester. Classroom, online, and laboratory teaching of medical laboratory science content is required. This position is an academic 10-month non-tenure track appointment.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master's degree by August 1, 2026
- National certification as a clinical laboratory professional
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, which may include teaching in the clinical environment and/or traditional education settings.
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned master's degree or doctorate degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or other biological sciences.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the content area of microbiology and/or blood bank.
- Specialty certification in medical laboratory science in microbiology and/or blood bank
- Three or more years of teaching experience.
- Proficiency with design and instruction for online courses.
