Lecturer of Education and Data Assessment Specialist
Maryville College, a selective four-year liberal arts college committed to superior teaching, invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, Lecturer of Education and Data Assessment Specialist. Individuals with professional experience and training in the areas of K-5 Education or Secondary Education and data management are encouraged to apply. Must be certified, or able to obtain training and certification, in TN-TEAM within the first six months of employment.
Teaching responsibilities (60% of position) will include courses in literacy, social studies methods, and instructional strategies for diverse learners and student teacher supervision. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence as innovative teachers. A minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in U.S. K-12 school settings is required.
Data Assessment Specialist responsibilities (40% of position) will include collecting, storing, and analyzing teacher candidate key assessment data using Via (Watermark), compiling, and submitting reports of a complex and exacting nature, and overseeing the process for Initial Entry into the program.
