Position Description

Responsibilities will include:

• Teaching courses in choral music (including choral ensembles, choral literature, private choral conducting lessons, basic conducting, choral music education, and related areas) as assigned.
• Service, including participation in university and/or departmental committees, supervising student chapter of GA-ACDA, activity in professional organizations, recruitment, and educational or creative activities that contribute to an active portfolio as a choral conductor and music educator

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in higher education preferred; graduate assistant teaching may be considered
• Demonstrated excellence and experience in choral conducting high school, collegiate, and/or professional choral ensembles preferred

Required Education

• Master’s degree in choral conducting required. Doctoral degree in choral conducting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in public school choral music preferred
• A record of successful recruitment of choral/vocal students preferred

Salary: $55,000
