Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Software Engineering
About This Opportunity
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the Cyber Security and Software Engineering group.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Teaching: Develop, coordinate and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses across programming, cyber security, software engineering and related areas; engage in innovative curriculum design; assess and support students in line with University teaching and learning standards.
- Research: Establish and sustain a high-quality research program in cyber security, software engineering, or both; contribute to collaborative research projects; seek, obtain and manage competitive research funding; and publish in leading journals and conferences.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students; contribute to researcher development through mentoring, supervision training, and leadership; and support the recruitment, onboarding and development of research staff.
- Citizenship and Service: Build partnerships with industry, government and professional bodies; contribute to internal service roles and decision-making; mentor colleagues and students; and consistently uphold UQ’s values and commitment to inclusion and wellbeing.
This is a teaching & research position.
