Lecturer position in the areas of Immunology and Cell Metabolism

The Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology in the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan invites applicants for a full-time 5-year term Lecturer position in the areas of Immunology and Cell Metabolism with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

The Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology in partnership with the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology offer a Biomedical Sciences undergraduate degree program that is co-administered by the Colleges of Medicine and Arts & Science.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD and sufficient knowledge to teach Immunology. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Immunology and Advanced Immunology in the first year with additional courses in subsequent years such as, but not limited to, in-person and on-line sections of BMSC 230: Metabolism, and hybrid delivery of MEDC 136: Medical Immunology, which is part of the undergraduate medical education program. The candidate will contribute to departmental committees focused on undergraduate teaching.

The starting salary band for Lecturer in the 2026-2027 academic year is $95,187 to $139,203 pursuant to Article 18.3 of the 2023-2027 USFA Collective Agreement.

Interested candidates must submit a complete application package that includes: a cover letter outlining how their experience to date has prepared them for the position; a detailed curriculum vitae; and a teaching dossier or other evidence of teaching effectiveness. The teaching dossier should include sample course syllabi or outlines, teaching evaluations, and a statement of teaching philosophy and interests. In addition, applicants must include the names and contact information for three references. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
