Department Information
Within this setting, the Department of Psychology offers a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science with concentrations in Experimental Psychology and Behavior Analysis, and an APA-accredited PsyD in Clinical Psychology. This position will primarily involve teaching both in-person courses on the Statesboro Campus and asynchronous and synchronous online courses within our online undergraduate program. Current faculty within the Department are engaged in the development of innovative research pursuits and leading teaching techniques and are highly collaborative and supportive of each other's research, teaching, and service goals.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Department Chair, the Lecturer positions will primarily require teaching within the undergraduate B.S. program, and will have some workload percentage devoted to providing service to the Department and University. The position is a 10-month, non-tenure-track appointment with the potential to teach summer courses.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Master's degree in Psychology, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology, by August 1, 2026.
- Experience or interest in developing courses that align with our undergraduate-level Introductory, Research & Analysis, Fundamental Knowledge (e.g., Cognitive, Developmental, Social, Personality, Physiological), and Major Capstone courses.
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
- Experience in College/University teaching.
- Experience or interest in contributing to Departmental service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned Doctoral degree in Psychology (i.e., Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the College/University level.
- Experience or interest in developing graduate-level discipline-specific courses.
- Potential for teaching courses within our minor programs.
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
