Job Description:

• We are hiring for several roles within our Teacher Education team.
• This is a full-time, tenurable appointment available at either Level B or Level C, depending on the successful applicant’s qualifications, experience and achievements.
• Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 and Level C, $144,143 - $165,809 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity

• Deliver innovative teaching in Mathematics, Science, or English for primary education; coordinate units and courses; contribute to curriculum design and assessment practices; supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
• Build a research profile through publications, conference participation, and grant applications; engage in higher degree supervision and contribute to the School’s research excellence.
• Participate in School governance, strategic planning, and external partnerships; uphold standards of practice and contribute to inclusion and diversity initiatives; represent the University in professional and community settings.

About you

• A completed doctorate in the field of Education or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative high quality teaching approaches, assessment and materials for units and courses.
• Demonstrated ability to teach online or in flexible modes.
• Demonstrated record and expertise in teaching in Mathematics, or Science or English in a primary teacher education course.
• A demonstrable track record in excellence in research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in high quality journals relative to opportunity.
• Demonstrate evidence of successful supervision or co-supervision of HDR students, relative to opportunity.
• Demonstrable experience of participation in professional and scholarly activities engagements that promote research and/or education outcome, government and industry.
