"Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Vascular Biology and Disease"

The School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine & Sciences (SCMMS) at King’s College London invites applications for a new faculty position at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. This full-time, indefinite contract role focuses on Vascular Biology and Disease, including mechanisms of angiogenesis and arteriogenesis, interactions of vascular cells with other cell types, atherosclerosis, gene and RNA-based treatments for restenosis, and vascular ageing.

Successful candidates must have a strong record of first or lead-author publications, demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, a proven track record of securing research funding, and a commitment to contributing to teaching and academic leadership.

For Senior Lecturer (Grade 8: £65,091 - £74,613 per annum): Essential criteria include a PhD or medical equivalent, postdoctoral research experience in Cardiovascular Science with evidence of independence, working on research funding in Vascular Biology and Disease, national and international reputation, excellent publication record, ability to collaborate across organizations, experience in teaching, and self-motivation.

Desirable criteria include supervision of PhD students, obtaining competitive grants, lecturing experience, and commitment to professional development.

For Lecturer (Grade 7: £53,947 - £63,350 per annum): Essential criteria include a PhD or medical equivalent, postdoctoral research experience in Cardiovascular Science, evidence of research funding in Vascular Biology and Disease, good publication record, collaboration skills, teaching experience, and self-motivation.

Desirable criteria include supervision of students, lecturing experience, and commitment to professional development.
