Lecturer – Tertiary Enabling Program Continuing Full Time Appointment Teaching Focused Academic Level A – annual salary $74,157 – $111,253 pa Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Education City Precinct (Danala Campus Darwin City) Teach mathematics, science, and academic literacies units in the Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP) at Charles Darwin University. About the Position As a Lecturer for the Tertiary Enabling Program, you will be responsible for teaching into mathematics, science and academic literacies units in the Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP). This is a free program offered to domestic students to enable support while studying at university and an entry pathway into tertiary study. TEP is a pre-entry pathway that enables students’ direct entry into university study upon successful completion of the program. Further tasks involve student liaison as required, assessment marking, and contribution to program review process, as well as to the collegial community. About You To be successful, you will require: • A relevant Tertiary degree and/or postgraduate qualifications or relevant experience. • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience teaching/tutoring in mathematics and related academic literacies. • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning, enabling and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic, cultural and age groups. • Demonstrated capacity to work both collaboratively and independently to sustain high level initiative, performance, and prioritisation under pressure. • Demonstrated ability to coordinate units as well as contribute to development of unit/program resources (including for online and face to face teaching) within the context and requirements of a quality education provider. • Demonstrated ability in development of flexible delivery methods and student resources in response to reflective practice and application of scholarship. • Excellent professional teamwork and communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications • Teaching experience especially in the areas of online and flexible education with demonstrated ability to develop and use flexible online computer-based learning materials to suit the needs of a diverse student body. • Knowledge and experience using the LearnLine and/or similar online learning systems and/or experience in developing learning and teaching curriculum and content. • Proven engagement with innovative technologies in both teaching and learning, and research To view the full position description please click the apply link to be directed to the vacancy on our CDU job site and then click on job attachments. The base salary will be in the range of $74,157 - $111,253 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $86,763 - $130,166 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
