Job Summary
The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a non-tenure-track lecturer position in the area of nutrition. This is a 9-month appointment with the possibility of additional summer teaching. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Key Responsibilities

• UT Tyler faculty will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in nutrition and related areas
• Promote and assess student success
• Serve the University, profession and community, and be a collegial member of the Department
• Maintain regular on-campus presence
• Attend departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Successful candidates will have a Master of Science, Doctorate or Ph.D. in nutrition, dietetics, food science, or a closely related discipline, preferably with a minimum of 3 years of professional clinical practice or teaching experience at the collegiate level.
• The ideal candidate would have experience with both face-to-face and distance education formats (e.g., hybrid and/or online), excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, and a willingness and ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed as a registered dietician (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
