The Allied Health Program, within the College of Sport, Health, and Engineering at Victoria University, is dedicated to enhancing health and quality of life through the discovery, dissemination, and application of evidence-based knowledge across a range of allied health disciplines.
About the Role:
Victoria University is seeking an experienced and motivated Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Speech Pathology) to take on the key role of Practice Education Lead.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and delivery of practice education across the Speech Pathology courses, ensuring students have access to meaningful placement experiences that meet curriculum and accreditation requirements. You will oversee student placements and clinical assessment processes, while maintaining and strengthening partnerships with practice education providers.
A key focus of the role is to expand and sustain placement capacity to support the long-term viability of practice education within the program. You will also contribute to excellence in teaching and support the professional development of practice educators through training and ongoing engagement.
As Practice Education Lead, you will serve as a central point of contact for students and internal and external stakeholders, supporting the effective administration and continuous improvement of the placement program.
Position Details:
Academic Level B, $113,221 - $134,449 per annum or Academic Level C, $138,695 - $159,922 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contribution, this is a full-time (36.75 hours per week) ongoing appointment. This role will be based at the University’s Footscray Park Campus.

About You:
You will have a strong understanding of the Speech Pathology Australia Accreditation Standards and their application to practice education, curriculum design, and teaching within speech pathology programs. You will contribute to teaching in the University’s undergraduate programs and, at Senior Lecturer level, supervise honours and higher degree students. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities for sessional staff. An ability to translate accreditation requirements into effective learning and teaching practices is essential.
