Legal Research Fellow II
This position will report to Faculty Directors and will serve as an integral member of a research team, assisting with substantive legal research and analysis projects dedicated to advancing the study, practice, and implementation of laws and regulatory policies that structure private economic powers in America.
In consultation with the Directors, the researcher will work to:
- Develop research, strategic vision and programming needs;
- Pursue research projects in collaboration with other fellows on administrative law reform, the intersection of labor and competition law and policy, and consumer protection policy;
- Organize public discussions and convenings, which includes engaging current and former regulators and enforcers, leaders in business, and relevant other stakeholders;
- Develop an annual public conference focused on economic liberty and corporate power;
- Launch a National Law Student Network/Membership Program; and
- Create a communications hub that connects individuals working in adjacent specialties, such as Labor, Consumer Law, Banking and Finance, and Administrative/Constitutional Law.
This appointment is as an Officer of Research in the rank of Senior Staff Associate I.
Minimum qualifications:
- J.D. (or J.D. equivalent);
- At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience. Prior legal experience working on matters relating to the Federal Government or State Government required
Preferred qualifications:
- Litigation experience highly desirable.
