Job Description
teach credit-bearing courses as part of the School of Music, Theatre & Dance arts leadership curriculum (ARTSADMN); deliver exemplary teaching of musical theatre production, informed by today's best practices and contextualized by up-to-date examples and industry knowledge; provide mentorship and guidance for enrolled students and assist in advancing project-based learning in a laboratory-based (practicum) class model, with a particular emphasis on intersections with industry professionals; provide timely, detailed feedback to students on all coursework and assignments.
Qualifications
advanced degree or commensurate professional experience to deliver effective pedagogy in a practicum context; experience working with collegiate students from diverse backgrounds and interests; commitment to working collaboratively with faculty across the performing arts leadership spectrum to calibrate course content as needed.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
