About the Roles
This identified Lecturer position plays a vital role in advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health education within the College of Medicine and Public Health. Based at the Riverland campus, you will deliver culturally informed teaching and contribute to curriculum development for the Medicine (MD) Program and related multidisciplinary placements. The role focuses on creating an engaging, student-centred learning experience while fostering strong community connections and supporting culturally safe practices.
- Delivering high-quality teaching and curriculum development with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health topics.
- Supporting student learning through academic counselling, innovative teaching practices, and use of educational technologies.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities to enhance cultural safety and engagement.
- Contributing to College activities, professional development, and community service initiatives.

About You
You are an experienced educator who is passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You bring cultural knowledge, strong teaching expertise, and a commitment to student success in rural and remote settings.
- Identification as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, with cultural recognition and understanding of Indigenous health issues.
- Significant experience in tertiary-level teaching and curriculum development, with a student-centred approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with communities and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and social determinants, plus capability to innovate in teaching delivery and technologies.
