Liberal Studies - Part-Time Lecturer Pool

POSITION

The Department of Liberal Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.

We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas:

• The history of Science
• Food studies
• The history of social thought
• The history of the arts and humanities
• Introduction to the humanities or social sciences
• Cross cultural humanities and social thought

This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree in a related field.
• Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
• Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
• Experience in interdisciplinary departments or programs is also desirable.
