Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Library Academic Services, the Affordable Learning and Liaison Librarian partners with faculty and staff to advance affordable learning through open educational resources (OER), Library-licensed content, course reserves, and openly available resources. As a member of the Open Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) cross-institutional team, the Librarian contributes to affordable learning and open education initiatives and connects faculty and staff with copyright and licensing expertise as needed. Serving as liaison to an assigned SLCC school, the Librarian builds collaborative relationships with faculty and academic leaders; provides information literacy instruction, research consultations, reference services, and outreach; and develops collections and Library services that support student and faculty success.
