Position Description
Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri invites applications for a highly organized and service-focused individual to coordinate and oversee all circulation processes at the C-SC Library. The Library Services and Circulation Coordinator will support the C-SC community by performing a wide variety of general library work (see responsibilities below). Additionally, special projects (e.g., digitization, weeding, archives maintenance) regularly arise in both the library and C-SC Archives, and additional duties or responsibilities may emerge as related and necessary. The Library Services and Circulation Coordinator reports to the Library Director.
Responsibilities
- Provides friendly and welcoming assistance in-person, on the phone, or via email to patrons with general information desk questions, particularly as they seek, find, check out, or renew materials
- Serves as MOBIUS liaison for all circulation problems/queries/processing
- Oversees the maintenance of the Course Reserves collection
- Manages electronic database and serials subscription services
- Prepares statistics for assessment, annual internal, state, or federal reports
- Provides assistance with InterLibrary Loan requests from external libraries
- Provides assistance with new book processing
- Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises student workers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MLS or equivalent desired.
- Familiarity with basic office software/programs (Google Workspace; Microsoft Office; Zoom); familiarity with Library Management Systems (FOLIO, Millenium/Sierra, SirsiDynix, or OCLC) preferred
- Ability to provide friendly and welcoming service to students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding personal organization skills
- Must be able to carry up to 15-20 lbs. up and down stairs
