Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Library UX Developer to join the Systems and Integration Development team located in Te Pātaka Kōrero - The Library on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be responsible for developing and improving the user experience of the Library’s web and enterprise systems, where you will work closely across teams within the Library and the wider University to ensure the Library’s web services and systems are delivered at the point of need.
Key responsibilities:
- Using UX design principles and analytics, develop and enhance the Library’s client online user experience.
- Ensure the Library’s online presence and branding is consistent across all enterprise tools and services.
- Develop and support Library staff tools and services.

You will a passionate developer that’s focused on understanding and improving the user experience in the applications and services that you develop. You embrace taking on new challenges and can communicate your ideas and solutions effectively to different audiences. You will be excellent at identifying and building and managing relationships has an enthusiastic drive to develop and deliver new and transformative services.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in UX/UI development using the latest web application frameworks and technologies.
- Experience in designing and developing engaging, intuitive user interactions based on UX Principles and design-thinking.
- Proven ability to develop highly effective relationships and partnerships.
