Lighting and Sound Supervisor
OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private,
coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic
university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de
Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50
miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New
York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes
undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students.
DeSales has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers
more than 40 bachelor's degrees, twelve graduate programs, and over
20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of
these can be completed fully online.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lighting and Sound Supervisor leads the lighting, audio, and
projection operations for Act I and the departments of Theatre,
Dance and TV Film.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years' experience in a professional performing arts production environment
- Ability to read and interpret theatrical drafting using Vectorworks or AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of ETC networking, and Lightwright software
- Knowledge of Q-lab software for playback of both audio and video in performance.
- OSHA 10 Certification (or completion at hire) with additional knowledge of theatrical rigging safety.
- Knowledge of protocols and procedures for the safe install, focus, and use of theatrical lighting equipment.
- Understanding of digital audio networking (DANTE), signal path, and experience with digital audio consoles. DANTE Certification before or on hire.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a production team atmosphere where multiple performances and productions overlap in the schedule and communication is key.

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supervising both undergraduate and professional crews preferred
- Knowledge of projection technology, including types of lenses, blending multiple projectors, and projection mapping preferred
- ETCP Certification in Electrics or Rigging preferred
- Ability to use ProTools for audio recording and editing preferred
