PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level position responsible for performing skilled building maintenance services, repairs, and renovation tasks across campus buildings. This role requires technical expertise in carpentry, or general building maintenance...

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs complex troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on campus facilities...
2. Leads or assists in renovation projects...
3. Responds to maintenance requests...
4. Conducts inspections...
5. Performs plumbing repairs...
6. Assists in the maintenance of campus grounds...
7. Operates and maintains tools...
8. Maintain accurate records...
9. Mentors and provides guidance...
10. Ensure compliance...
11. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Advanced knowledge of carpentry, or mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints...
• Ability to troubleshoot...
• Strong problem-solving skills...
• Excellent communication...
• Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Familiarity with energy management systems... preferred
• Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of experience
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license...

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in an educational or institutional setting
• Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work

Salary

Hiring salary range is $51,761 - $59,526
