• Remuneration: $116,370 to $127,294 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $98,334 to $107,565 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Engineering, Academic Division.

The Faculty of Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent individual to join its busy, challenging and dynamic finance team responsible for the provision of financial management advice and services to the Faculty, supporting the achievement of business and service delivery objectives.

The Management Accountant is a key member of the Faculty professional team, providing support and guidance on complex financial issues and identifying opportunities to continuously improve team performance and build capability that is aligned to current and future client needs and service delivery requirements.

What you need to succeed

1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in finance or a related business discipline with at least four years subsequent relevant experience.
2. Financial management skills in developing, reviewing, and analysing large budgets using a range of corporate financial systems and demonstrated experience in applying financial governance principles.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide accurate advice on financial and other data in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.
4. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to gather and integrate information from several sources to enable accurate and strategic decision making.
5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture that is committed to the continuous improvement and innovation of processes and services.
6. Highly developed digital literacy skills with demonstrated high level proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (including databases) and financial packages such as Oracle, with the ability to develop reports.
7. High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups.
