Academic requirements
- GRE® — Required. The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections — Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
- GMAT — Required. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA.

Other requirements
General requirements
- Applicants seeking admission to the PhD degree programme should possess:
- (A) Master's degree from a recognized university or comparable institution; or
- (B) Bachelor's degree with first class honours from a recognized university or comparable institution; or
- (C) Any other qualification deemed by the Graduate School to be acceptable for this purpose
- Candidates under paragraph (B) should have evidence of research achievement/experience
- Candidates under paragraph (C) may be required to take a qualifying examination. Their progress shall be reported to the Graduate School at the end of their first year of study.
- A valid GMAT or GMAT Focus Edition or GRE result.
- English Language Requirements
- IELTS overall score of 6.5 or
- TOEFL iBT score of 79 (for tests taken before 21 January 2026) or 4.5 (for tests taken on or after 21 January 2026).
