About The Job
The Manager plays a strategic role in advancing SUSS’s social entrepreneurship agenda by driving the creation, development and scaling of social enterprises. This role leads the design and delivery of social enterprise initiatives, including the University’s flagship festival, which serves as a platform for innovation, ecosystem engagement and public education.
The role focuses on translating social impact priorities into student learning, venture creation and early-stage founder development through the design and delivery of social entrepreneurship programmes, community engagement and venture support initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
Programme Development
Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of programmes that support the ideation, creation, and scaling of social enterprises aligned with the University’s social impact mission.
Develop and manage programme playbooks, budgets, timelines, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with Centre and University strategies, funding requirements, and reporting frameworks.
Advise and support founders in ideation, validation, execution and early-stage development
Lead the end-to-end management of the Social Entrepreneurship Festival, including conceptualisation, planning and delivery of the event
Partnership Development
Develop and manage relationships with impact mentors, social enterprises, NGOs, corporates, funders, government agencies and alumni startups
Facilitate cross-sector collaborations and partnerships emerging from festival and programme activities, translating engagements into meaningful opportunities for the ventures
Manage startups records and accounts, including but not limited to grants administration for startups
Strategy, Planning and Reporting
Contribute to ecosystem strategy and partnership development, and support departmental planning, funding proposals and institutional reporting
Track and report outcomes related to venture creation, participation and ecosystem engagement to internal stakeholders and external funders
Identify, cultivate, and secure funding partners to support entrepreneurship programmes
Develop and execute plans for awareness, outreach and engagement efforts for entrepreneurship programmes.
Perform any additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Degree holder; experience in startup/social enterprise ecosystem is an advantage
5–8 years of experience in social enterprises, impact investing, innovation programmes or ecosystem development
Strong understanding of social impact models, venture development, and ecosystem dynamics
Experience leading large-scale events, festivals or public-facing programmes
Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and programme execution capabilities
