- Full-time (100%), Permanent position
- Base salary will be in the range $115,645.22 - $129,654.48 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8)
- Based at our St Lucia Campus - Brisbane
About This Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a great team as a Manager, Academic Administration. The focus of this position is to manage the governance and academic administration functions of the Faculty including the provision of high-level specialist advice and project management. In this role you will lead the Academic Administration (1 direct report and 2 indirect reports) team and reports to the Senior Manager, Academic Services.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership for the Faculty’s Academic Support function, including supervising the team and managing workloads and deliverables. You will offer expert advice on academic governance, compliance, policy, and procedures to the Associate Dean (Academic) and EAIT School Managers, support academic program development and reviews, liaise with Marketing and International teams on programs and partnerships, facilitate training and professional development, contribute to innovative administrative improvements and policy development, represent the Faculty on University committees, and act as Senior Manager, Academic Services when required.

About You
- A degree with subsequent extensive experience and specialist expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education/ training. Completion of postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and motivate others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Administrative experience in an area related to student and academic administration in a university environment.
- Experience in governance and providing secretariat services, including preparing agendas and minutes.
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy particularly in reviewing large documentation in high volume.
- High level proficiency and practical understanding of administrative computer applications, especially with data on corporate systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels including senior and executive level staff.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement and to problem-solve.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, work independently and meet deadlines, as well as work co-operatively as a highly motivated member of a team and across organisational units.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements such as a Blue Card. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
