The NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) fosters a lifelong relationship between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its alumni. It provides a platform for alumni to stay connected with the University and each other through various programmes, events, and networking opportunities. Job Description

You will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of University-level events that engage our NUS alumni community. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of alumni events and activities, including, forums, golf tournaments, Homecoming, and reunions.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with key NUS departments to ensure that events align with broader University goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
  • Source, negotiate with and manage vendors for event-related services and oversee all logistical aspects of assigned events.
  • Evaluate events through feedback and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to management, offering insights and recommendations for further improvement.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 – 7 years’ proven experience in events planning and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and vendor management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet moving deadlines.
  • Proactive, has high levels of resilience and drive, and is adaptable to changes.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and can analyse and synthesise information.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends or travel internationally as required.
