Manager, Budget & Project
Job Summary/Basic Functions
Provides high-level budgetary and professional support services for all activities, overseeing program/department needs and supporting program/department leaders. The incumbent will track financial data to ensure compliance with University guidelines and provide other budgetary services, including, but not limited to: budget forecasting, reconciling accounts, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and ensuring accurate information capture and maintenance within applicable databases/systems. May also train and provide technical direction to lower-level clerical staff. The incumbent will assist with training logistics and programming facilitation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Three years of budgetary experience.
Job Duties
- 70% - Performs general and specialized administrative duties related to financial records and documents, collections, travel, and other reimbursements, vouchers, and purchasing card reconciliation; coordinates various meetings and activities. Creates and maintains a consistent budgetary process for units reporting to the Chief of Staff and collaborates with unit budget representatives on adhering to and evaluating the budget process. Works to identify areas of cost-savings, redundancy, and duplication of efforts through the budget process, budget evaluation, and resource planning. - (Essential)
- 10% - Manages budgetary and promotional activities, sets priorities, ensures schedules are maintained, and deadlines are met; communicates and collaborates with multiple campus offices/areas - (Essential)
- 20% - Ensures effective operations by completing special projects assigned by department heads - (Essential)
