Applications are invited for appointment as Manager/ Executive (Development) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/ Executive Officer) at the Development & Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) (Ref.: 534452) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

As DAAO continues to expand its impact, we are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic professional to join our growing team. The appointee will play a key role in supporting fundraising initiativesoutreach and engagement programmes, and committee coordination, contributing to the development and execution of high-impact campaigns, events and fundraising initiatives.

The Role

  • Programme Administration: oversee the administration and implementation of fundraising and engagement programmes;
  • Project Management: coordinate logistics and operations for campaigns, public engagement activities, and events to ensure smooth execution and impactful delivery;
  • Secretariat Support: support meetings of committees and working groups, including preparing materials, presentation files, and following up on action items;
  • Storytelling and Engagement: contribute to storytelling efforts that highlight the transformative impact of philanthropy, crafting compelling narratives for various platforms and engaging donors in person; and
  • Event Planning: assist in the planning and delivery of large-scale events and promotional initiatives, from concept development to on-site coordination;

Requirements

  • A good bachelor's degree;
  • At least 10 years of work experience, preferably in the higher education sector, public or quasi-public organisations, or related field. Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to implement strategic initiatives effectively in a dynamic environment;
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail;
  • Proven track record in project management, event planning, public relations, and stakeholder engagement; and
  • Practical experience in social media strategy and content creation will be a distinct advantage.

What We Offer

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
