Manager, Integrative Learning
Position Summary
The Manager assists the Department Chair with management of high-impact programming including first year seminar, honors, international studies and service-learning. They strengthen community and global partnerships and promote faculty and student community engagement, organize, and manage events, maintain college web page(s) associated with programs. In collaboration with Department Chair, they assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of adjunct faculty. In collaboration with Department Chair, this role provides oversight and support for adjunct faculty related to high-impact programming. The Integrative Learning Manager provides input to the Department Chair to assure relevant academic planning, scheduling, and degree review in support of high -impact programming. They develop and manage efforts toward community engagement and service-learning for instructional division courses and programming. Serve on College committees and advisory boards. This role manages risk and liability through the development of policies and procedures for off campus integrative learning.
Work Schedule
This regular, full time, staff position will work Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. There will be times when this position is expected to work extended hours. Additionally, this role will be expected to engage in the community/service area, requiring travel by car.
Regular on-campus presence is expected for all KCC employees. Any flexible and/or hybrid work schedules are subject for review, approval, and/or change based on the needs of the College.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree (MA, MS) or equivalent obtained from an accredited college or university.
- Study abroad or travel experience.
- Service-learning experience or extensive volunteer and community development experience.
- Evidence of community partnership success such as Articulation Agreements, K-12 partnerships, advisory board presence, events, volunteering, serving on community boards.
- Knowledge of online education and assessment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage special projects under strict deadlines with limited resources.
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in administrative or instruction programming leadership.
- At least one (1+) year of post-secondary classroom instruction experience.
- Two to three (2-3) years of experiences in creating and maintaining community global partnerships.
Preferred but not Required
- Master's degree in Higher Education from an accredited college or university.
- Two to three (2-3) years' experience teaching in higher education.
- Experience working at a community college.
- One to two (1-2) years of experience leading higher education programming.
- Experience supervising employees.
Proposed Salary
According to the Kellogg Community College Hay Administrative Compensation program, the 2025-2026 annual salary range for a Manager 1 position, $63,276 to $79,098 to start.
