Posting Description
MANAGER, LINCOLN LABS HEALTH FITNESS CENTER, DAPER Facilities - Operations and Events, provides leadership and management for the customer service, revenue generation, operational and personnel functions of the Lincoln Lab Fitness Center, a 7,500 square foot fitness facility; develops and implements policies, programs and procedures that attracts customers; generates revenue and ensures customer satisfaction; leads a team of fitness instructors and customer service staff in creating a positive customer experience and programming that targets clients’ needs and interests; oversees maintenance of facility and manages renovation projects as they arise; directs work of contracted custodial staff to ensure cleanliness of facility; establishes and forecasts budget for the Lincoln Lab Fitness Center and directs the purchase, delivery and maintenance of all equipment.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years of relevant experience in fitness programming and management in a collegiate setting or health club, including managing and training physical education instructors; the ability to teach and conduct fitness workshops and clinics; expertise in conducting personal fitness assessments and developing personal training programs; experience in the use and instruction of fitness equipment; be a highly motivated team player with the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, develop and maintain collaborative relationships, communicate effectively, as well as proactively solve problems; basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs; nationally recognized health/fitness certifications (e.g. ACSM, NSCA, AFAA); excellent verbal and written communication required with an emphasis on strong interpersonal and public relations skills; ability to take initiative and to be self-directed and motivated; and efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. PREFERRED: Master’s degree; and professional experience in fitness programming and management in a collegiate setting or health club.
