Manager, Medical Student Wellness (Non-Supervisory)
The Manager, Medical Student Wellness is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student wellness program supporting the mission of the MD Program and Office of Student Affairs. This position manages and coordinates multiple wellness-related initiatives designed to promote the psychological, physical, and professional wellbeing of medical students.
Under the Program Management job family, this role independently plans, organizes, facilitates, and evaluates programs and services that enhance student wellbeing across the medical education continuum. The Manager applies advanced professional knowledge, judgment, and discretion to develop evidence-based strategies, improve processes, and influence institutional practices aligned with accreditation requirements and best practices in medical education.
This position is student-facing and non-clinical. It does not provide counseling, diagnosis, or treatment, and instead serves in a supportive, consultative, and referral capacity.
Primary Duties
- Manage one or more wellness programs of substantive scope and impact.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-driven student wellness strategy.
- Design and deliver evidence-based wellness programs addressing stress management, burnout prevention, mental health awareness, work-life integration, and career satisfaction.
- Provide individualized, non-clinical guidance and support to medical students.
- Develop and deliver training for faculty and staff on recognizing and responding to student distress.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in program management, coordination, or administration.
