Manager of Academic Accountability
Position Purpose:
Provide collaborative support and assist in the overall management and oversight of the School of Education and Human Services' Office of Public School Academies. Included in the various roles is to function as liaison with strategic school-based initiatives that support collaboration with urban schools and public school academies, to provide leadership and to facilitate communication regarding oversight, professional development and compliance issues related to Public School Academies and cooperative arrangements involving OU, school districts, educational organizations and the community. Also serve as the primary person responsible for analyzing student achievement data and presenting material to various constituents.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Administration or Education or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- One year of administrative experience in a K-12 setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and facilitate successful programs.
- Knowledge of standardized assessments and ability to disaggregate and analyze data.
- Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures of the Michigan Department of Education.
- Ability to work in culturally diverse settings.
- Ability to work as a team member and team leader.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability in conducting professional development for teachers and administrators; skills in evaluation of staff and program performance; understanding of curriculum; knowledge of educational trends.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Charter School experience.
