Job Posting Details
The Office of the Vice-President for Research and Development is seeking a highly motivated person to join our team. The appointee will be required to provide comprehensive administrative support for research and development. Key responsibilities include:
providing secretariat support to research committees/working groups, including preparation of documents and follow-up actions;
development and review of research collaboration documents;
managing and coordinating university-wide as well as research-related events, activities, and matters;
development of research-related policies and guidelines, and monitoring their implementation and compliance;
handling research administration processes under VPRDO; and
performing any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of work experience in the higher education sector. Candidates with a background in science and technology and a master’s degree will be preferred. They should be a good team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be effective in multi-tasking work culture. A strong sense of responsibility and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua) are required. Candidates with a good understanding of research facilities management, grant administration and management, and proper committee secretarial servicing training are preferred. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
