Remuneration: $172,761 to $193,229 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $145,985 to $163,281 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
Location: Both Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Manager, Scholarly Communications Services to join QUT Library, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.
The Manager, Scholarly Communications Services leads the Office for Scholarly Communication within QUT Library, delivering high-quality services that support the University’s research priorities and scholarly communication needs. The role is responsible for managing services, policies and strategies that underpin contemporary research support, and leads a team of specialists providing expertise in Open Access, scholarly communication, QUT ePrints, research data management, copyright and Creative Commons, publication metrics, journal management, and research skills training. The Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Office for Scholarly Communication and undertakes projects and Library-wide initiatives as delegated by the University Librarian. As a member of the QUT Library Leadership Team, the role contributes to strategic planning and operational governance across the Library. The position reports to the University Librarian for career planning, development, and performance.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Studies, in conjunction with, extensive relevant experience leading and managing the operations and delivery of Library Services in a complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in leading scholarly communication services, applying knowledge of scholarly publishing models and practices, open scholarship, research data management practices, research skills training and publication metrics.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills and experience in particular, high level change management and coaching skills, and the ability to lead a professional team in a culture that supports innovation and inclusivity.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain constructive partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience in delivering high quality documents, submissions and presentations and confidently providing advice and direction to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated high level planning and organisation skills in a large and complex operational unit.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
