Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Creative Services, the Marketing Communications Specialist II is responsible for developing, planning, reviewing, and implementing a wide range of communications in support of Enrollment Management with a particular focus on Admissions, through all media platforms and other forms of communication, including Target X, digital communication social media platforms, web content, annual reports, written content, and presentations. This position will also assist in numerous and varied aspects of the University's marketing, creative services, advertising, public relations, and communications missions.
Responsibilities
Duty 1 -
Researches, designs, and produces marketing and communication plans, content marketing, and assets for use in building brand awareness, increasing inquiries, applications, and enrollments; assists with long-range editorial planning and strategy for recruitment needs, providing consistency of messaging across all formats; continually seeking new techniques for communicating information in print and digital platforms; develops themes and concepts in overseeing creation of content and communication materials.
Duty 2 -
Develops creative content and collaborates with internal and external contributors for digital/social creative, copywriting, website copy/development and Target X as well as social content for multiple profiles within Facebook and Instagram along with other and emerging digital/social platforms.
Duty 3 -
Proofread and edit content, including print documents, digital content, advertising materials and social media.
Duty 4 -
Works with University offices/departments and possibly vendors to complete communication projects
Duty 5 -
Assists with creative services provided by the Marketing staff. These services may include, but are not limited to, photography, videography, audio recording, graphic design, content development for advertising/enrollment services materials
Duty 6 -
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications/PR, or a related field or a combination of education and experience that exceeds 4 years.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills
