MU TITLE: Program/Project Support Coordinator I
LOCATION: Local Extension Office (St. Louis or Kansas City Metro)

MU Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development provides leadership and expertise with developing communities of young people across Missouri who are learning citizenship, leadership, and life skills. 4-H is publicly supported by county, state, and federal partners, as well as private resources to enrich the learning experiences of both youth and adults. The Missouri AfterSchool Network (MASN) is housed within the 4-H Center for Youth Development. MASN brings partners together to provide a statewide system for the development, implementation, and ultimate sustainability of high quality, safe, nurturing afterschool programs for extended experiential learning, academic achievement, and social, recreational, and personal life skills development espousing the principals of best practices in youth development for all Missouri students during non-school hours. POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will coordinate activities associated with making training available to afterschool programs across the state, but specifically in either the St. Louis or Kansas City metro area. Primary responsibilities include ensuring a robust catalog of trainings are available to afterschool programs. Other duties will include communicating with program directors to assess training needs and providing support for the Quality/ Professional Development committee. Regular in state travel required, some overnight travel associated with hosted training events required. The home base for this position in either St. Louis or Kansas City due to concentration of afterschool programs in those geographic areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for creating and implementing a training delivery system for afterschool professionals across the state. Duties may include selecting content based on needs assessments, scheduling and handling training logistics, coordinating payments to trainers (consulting agreements and invoices), attending trainings, and ensuring quality delivery of training.
Assist with various projects to enhance the afterschool network, present at statewide and regional events, and complete quarterly and annual reporting as needed. Attend meetings and participate in professional development.
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate to St. Louis or Kansas City metro areas.
Regular in state travel is required using a personal vehicle.
As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected to support the mission and purpose of MU Extension.
LEADERSHIP RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Administrative supervision is received from the Associate Director of Quality. May mentor (or supervise as needed) others in completing program/project duties.

Shift
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Ability to travel and to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, is required to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must have sufficient child/youth development related coursework to qualify for child care licensing director certification.
Preferred qualifications include at least two years of experience working in or supporting programs that serve children or youth and working knowledge of afterschool programs.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $18.87 - $24.28 per hour
