Doctoral degree or ABD in Social Work or related field for the tenure/tenure track line; MSW with 2 years post MSW practice experience.
A minimum of MSW with 2 years post-MSW practice experience for the non-tenure track line.
Teaching experience, including online and/or hybrid, and knowledge of CSWE accreditation standards and competency-based education are preferred, as we as strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Position Details:
The Department of Social Work invites applications for two positions: a full-time 10-month, faculty member to teach primarily in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program with some teaching in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. This position emphasizes excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and program leadership within a collaborative, student-centered environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to graduate and undergraduate social work education, including the preparation of students for generalist and clinical practice in alignment with CSWE competencies.
One faculty line will serve as the Field Director for the graduate and undergraduate social work programs:
- Identify new agencies qualified to accept social work interns.
- Identifying qualified social workers in the agencies to supervise assigning students to agencies.
- Provide guidance to students regarding field readiness & professional behavior.
- Conduct orientations, workshops, and seminars for students and field instructors to enhance learning outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate field education programs to align with program learning outcomes and CSWE competencies.
- Keep the field manual up to date.
- Oversee operational aspects of field placements.
- Ensure learning agreements, supervision, and evaluation processes meet program expectations.
- Support accreditation and reaffirmation efforts, including data collection, assessment reporting, and documentation.
- Teach a range of MSW and some BSW courses using engaging, student-centered pedagogical approaches.
- Deliver instruction across modalities (Face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback and maintain high accessibility to students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement aligned with CSWE EPAS.
