Material Handler S07
Responsible for supporting the Facilities Management through: assisting with R5 Operations programs including but not limited to coordination of the STACS reuse program; maintain inventory for critical maintenance items and bulk commodities which includes procurement of said items; development and maintenance of Facilities "Tool Cage" rental and loan program; receiving and staging of material. Cultivate and maintain sound customer relations and assist in promotion of university sustainability efforts.

This is an Endowed, union position within the UAW. The starting pay rate is $27.13 hour.

We require these qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Capability to learn software (e.g. spreadsheets, word processing), as well as computer-based inventory management system and other server-based systems.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled equipment.
- Ability to work in stressful, high-volume environments with constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently, as well as with diverse groups and be able to carry out assignments using problem-solving skills and exhibiting sound judgment.
- Must have and maintain a valid US driver’s license; may be required to operate a motor vehicle (your own vehicle or Cornell-owned) to travel to/from job sites.
- May be required to obtain a CDL license.
- Must have certification, or employer will provide training and opportunity for certification, to operate a forklift.
- Available to work overtime as duties require, including weekends and possible shift work.
- Ability to lift and/or move 100 pounds.
- Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
You will be a top candidate with our preferred qualifications:
- Experience with both Kuali and Maximo Inventory System computer systems.
- Capability to learn software (e.g. spreadsheets, word processing), as well as computer-based inventory management system, other server based systems, Cornell email and calendar systems.
