Olympic College is continuously recruiting for Mathematics Adjunct Faculty to teach introductory and advanced mathematics, part-time at all of its campuses. This position reports to the Dean of Mathematics, Engineering, Science, and Health (MESH). Part-time positions at the college are open continuous and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Individuals who apply to the applicant pool are considered active for 12 months from the application date and may be contacted when vacancies occur. Essential Functions
- Prepare and teach developmental and/or college-level Mathematics course(s)
- Provide high quality, enthusiastic instruction including related preparation and grading
- Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested
- Maintain accurate records of students and complete forms and records as required
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate evening instruction
- May include teaching at the Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Shelton Campuses
- Maintain clear and punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mathematics required.
- Related Master's degree with substantial graduate level Mathematics course work may be considered.
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful experience teaching Mathematics at a College or University
- Experience with Learning Management System software such as Canvas
