Medical Assistant Associate
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced Occupational Health Services team. In this role, you will support clinic operations by assisting with clinical procedures, performing diagnostic testing, maintaining equipment, and providing direct patient care. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow, delivering high-quality care, and supporting both staff and employees across the health system and campus.
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider and nurse direction
- Perform diagnostic testing, including blood draws, TB skin tests, drug screenings, urinalysis, vision and hearing tests, EKGs, spirometry, and fit testing
- Provide patient instructions for treatments and procedures
- Assist with complex procedures and operate specialized equipment
- Support patient care coordination, scheduling, and referrals
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic orders
- Collaborate with outside health agencies and internal departments
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and arrange equipment repairs
- Train and precept new staff as directed
- Uphold clinic policies, procedures, and quality care standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED. Graduation from a medical assistant program or an equivalent combination of education and experience (1 - 3 years). Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Additional formal education in a health care field. Certification as a Medical Assistant
Full-time, 40 hours per week
