Medical Assistant

General Description:

To assist in the daily function of the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) by providing health support services for IL Tech students. Clinical services provided include assisting Nurse Practitioner(s) and Medical Doctor with care of students for illnesses and injuries, assisting with routine treatments, conduct lab tests, administering vaccinations, ensuring immunization compliance and maintenance of office records.

Education & Experience:

Two years of customer service experience required. High School Diploma required. Good people skills, ability to communicate well verbally, written or electronically. Data entry experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

Basic Word and Excel skills required for data entry; good organization skills; excellent customer service skills and verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills essential. Demonstrate time management and organizational skills; ability to move between tasks quickly and efficiently Familiarity with HIPAA and FERPA regulations a plus
